Delaware Art Museum Wedding | Ruby & Bryan

Ruby & Bryan got married at the Delaware Art Museum and it was wonderful to play a part in their day documenting everything.  I started my day at a nearby hotel on the Wilmington Riverfront where Ruby and her bridesmaids were getting ready…

There is Macedonian a tradition, in which the bride deliberately kicks over a vessel filled with water, to symbolize a life that flows as smoothly as water.

During this time, my second photographer was over at the Delaware Art Museum getting photos of the groom, Bryan, getting ready.

Their ceremony would Start soon, so all of their guests made their way over their ceremony location: The Labyrinth.

The outdoor space for the wedding ceremony at the Delaware Art Museum is The Labyrinth. Quite an interesting aesthetic for their ceremony, it’s a 100 meter-wide circular area surrounded by stone walls, with one way in and out.

After their wedding ceremony, we made a few portraits there in their ceremony space after their guests headed over to cocktail hour.

We headed inside to catch the tail end of cocktail hour and get ready for their wedding reception to start.

It was ‘golden hour’ during dinner, and luckily we had time in between some other reception formalities, so we took this opportunity to go outside for a quick couples’ photo session amongst the sculptures there behind their wedding reception at The Delaware Art Museum.

After about 10 minutes we headed back to their reception for the scheduled parent dances, cake cutting, and free dancing.
