This past weekend, we had the interesting experience of photographing the wedding of some friends of ours. We have known Wendy and Dennis peripherally through Wil’s sister and her future husband for years now, and had the honor of getting to know them better this past year as we worked together. We always try to get to know our clients very well, but it’s a completely different scenario knowing most of their friend group and having watched their relationship grow from the very beginning.

Wendy and Dennis have gone through more in this past year, than I hope most couples will have to endure in a lifetime. From having to cancel our initial engagement session due to medical complications that put Dennis in the hospital for an emergency surgery, to Dennis’ mom losing her battle to cancer a mere few weeks before their wedding, these two have already been through the thick of it with each other. They handled it all with grace, dignity and a killer sense of humor that kept everyone smiling through the tears.

Despite all the difficulties, it is clear from the pictures that an amazing time was had by everyone privileged enough to attend, and we know these two will be able to get through anything life throws their way. Congratulations again Wendy and Dennis and we wish you many happy and peaceful years to come.
