Here are my favorite images from Kelly and Nick’s wedding at Downingtown Country Club. We started the day by photographing the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready up in the bridal suite, while the gentlemen were getting ready in the Men’s locker rooms and Golf pro lounge.
Their wedding ceremony was outside, and the weather was quite unique on that particular day. The Canadian wildfire smoke had been hovering over our area here in southeast Pennsylvania, which resulted in a hazy, overcast looking day. Interestingly, for photos this was good— the clouds created a nice, flattering quality of light everywhere with no harsh shadows, so I definitely wasn’t complaining!
Next we did a brief portrait shoot with the newlywed bride and groom, right there at the wedding ceremony location.
I’ve been photographing weddings at Downingtown Country Club for over a decade, so I was really pleased to see that they recently renovated their reception space with a new hardwood floor. I feel like the space is looking very modern and bright with this renovation!
We did a brief nighttime portrait set, by stealing the couple off of the dance floor and pulling them out front of Downingtown Country Club for ten minutes.
After a quick night portrait shoot, everyone returned to the dance floor where SilverSound DJ Ryan K would get their party going!
