This past spring has been qutie volatile in our area weather wise. We have had to reschedule many engagement sessions, including Jackie and Kevin’s. I believe that this was our 4th attempt at getting together, and by this point when we saw the thirty percent chance of thunderstorms on the weather map we were all just ready to go, rain or not!
We met up with Jackie and Kevin at Longwood Gardens, where Kevin had just recently proposed to Jackie a few weeks before Christmas. They had never seen Longwood Gardens in the warmer part of the year, so it was nice to see them get to explore all of the beautiful grounds.
Towards the end of the session, I was changing a lens, when I suddenly saw a big dollop of rain hit the camera. Within seconds the sky opened up out of nowhere. We all dashed for cover, but certainly did not escape getting wet. We waited a few minutes, chatting under the awning and just as I started to apologize for the session being cut short, I turned to look back at Jackie and saw that not only was the rain clearing up, but that a big rainbow had formed right behind her. Hopefully it’s a sign of great things to come for Jackie and Kevin’s wedding coming up at Barn on Bridge next June!
