Mike reached out to us all the way from Seattle to ask if we’d photograph his proposal to Camille in the beautiful Longwood Gardens. After checking out photos online and consulting with us, Mike decided that right in front of the Italian Water Garden would be the perfect spot to ask Camille to spend her life with him.
The morning of, we were there even before they opened the gates, but glancing over our shoulders our subjects (one of whom was completely unsuspecting) were there as well! They were right on our heels as we headed towards the water gardens, but luckily since we know all the little paths of Longwood Gardens we were able to sneak a bit ahead of them and get in to position with a few moments to spare.
The weather was perfect- sunny and just warm enough without a trace of humidity, and we had the designated area mostly to ourselves. Just before Mike showed up, so did a few other visitors though, so Mike wisely stalled by taking Camille for another lap around the fountain. It may have taken 3 loops around the fountain area, but when Mike was finally able to get down on one knee the proposal went perfectly. Of course you can see that from Camille’s expression though!
We celebrated with a little tour of Longwood and some more photos before we let Camille & Mike off to enjoy engaged bliss and to share the news with their loved ones.
