Fall foliage adding a colorful backdrop to the crisp lines of architecture punctuating the city was only the beginning of the layers of perfection that made up Kaitlin and Brian’s wedding day. For starters, Kaitlin and Brian are stoked about the art of photography and they let us know that it was one of their top priorities, as well as giving us tons of great ideas and feedback throughout the process of planning and the wedding day itself. They also graciously gave of their time on a really important day.
Our plan for the first look morphed in to a moment so perfect it felt like a movie. Brian stood facing due west at the dead center of a packed city hall. As Kaitlin approached, the gentle breeze from the east seemed to carry her delicately forward. As she took her first step out from the shaded tunnel, a street flutist nearby began to slowly play “Here comes the bride” and for a moment it was if time stood still and everyone stopped what they were doing to share in the joy these two had for one another.
The perfect synchronicity we experienced only intensified throughout the rest of the day, we always seemed to be in the perfect spots at the perfect moment, finding space and time in a city that always seems to be short on both.
