Although we chatted extensively with Leslie & Thomas about their wedding, we hadn’t actually met in person before the big day. In order to get a better idea of who they were as a couple, we did what any reasonable person would do, and extensively Facebook-stalked them for intel that we could use to better photograph their wedding day and make the collection truly about them. During our research we discovered that our subjects were brilliantly expressive in front of the camera, so we made it our mission to be sure to draw this out of them as much as we could.
We imagined maybe having to do some coaxing, but immediately upon arrival we realized that in addition to making great faces, Leslie & Thomas were some of the sweetest and most open people that we’ve ever met. It didn’t take long before Leslie and I were referring to each other as new BFF. Add to all of the above that we were working at the Downingtown Country Club so we knew we had it made. We have worked at this nearby venue many times, so we are quite comfortable there, and it’s always great to see their coordinator Kerry, who we have become friends with over the years.
For paramedics who have to constantly face stressful, life threatening situations, a wedding day was a piece of cake to these two, and it was an absolute joy watching them interact in their element, laughing and having fun. I’m going to guess that their occupations, coupled with the amazing trust they had in us as photographers, is why they didn’t even bat an eyelash at us pulling them out for some photos in front of “the really awesome purple clouds.” We knew from the radar that a storm would hit any second, and were lucky enough to grab the perfect amount of pictures before the first raindrops fell and we rushed back inside.
We hope that you have as much fun looking at our favorite images from their wedding day, as we had photographing them!
