This past weekend we worked with a really sweet couple named Fallon and Pat. The Philadelphia area had been hit with a sizable snowstorm the evening before Fallon and Patrick’s wedding, but thankfully the wedding day ended up being one of those rare winter beauties where a bright sun glittered over a blanket of freshly fallen snow.
Wil and I arrived at the Philadelphia Sheraton Society Hill in the early afternoon, where Wil hung out with Pat and the guys, while I had a chance to take some photographs with Fallon, her beautiful bridesmaids and family. The Cescaphe Trolley arrived right on time to taxi over first Wil and the Gentlemen and then all the Ladies and myself to the oldest Catholic Church in Philadelphia: Old St. Jospeh’s.
After a touching ceremony we again took the Cescaphe Trolley over to the historic 2nd National Bank of Philadelphia where Patrick, Fallon and their Bridal party ran outside in the freezing cold to capture a some fun pictures. After a few minutes we cut the bridal party loose and our awesome Bride and Groom braved the almost zero temperatures for a few more images under the romantic city lights.
We were so happy that it was only a block away from their wedding reception location, Cescaphe Event Group‘s newest venue: The Downtown Club. This has quickly become one of our favorite venues to photograph a wedding reception, because we love the inviting yet upscale atmosphere and the glamorous juxtaposition of chic contemporary accents set against the historic backdrop of Old City, Philadelphia. In addition to the impressive views, the food and quality of service are impeccable, and did I mention that they have a flower cannon? We also loved the way Fallon and Pat had personalized their wedding venue with festive sparkling holiday accents.
Without further adieu here are some of our favorite images from Patrick and Fallon’s wedding day:
