We scheduled Kim & Michal’s engagement session all the way back in October, and as this was the only day that lined up with their busy schedule and ours, I was a bit worried about what the weather might hand us . Luckily, we couldn’t have predicted more perfect weather and timing, as it was easily the first really beautiful day we have seen yet this spring, with everything finally starting to bud and blossom.
While traveling through Central park we passed street musicians and artists, a roller disco party and even bumped into the creator of Humans of New York. I’ve followed and been inspired by his project on Facebook for awhile now, so that lucky coincidence reinforced to me how cool it is that we get to document the stories of how two people meet and intertwine their lives.
The four of us arrived at the reservoir just in time to catch the sun setting behind the sky scrapers. After a stroll back through the park at dusk, we congratulated ourselves for a session well done with some awesome burgers at a nearby hidden spot Kim & Michal showed us. Continuing our theme of perfect timing, we arrived just before a huge line of people did, and a lone table in the packed restaurant opened up right as our food was served.
