Katie and Jeff’s wedding day was definitely one of the hottest days yet this year. Like melt your face off as soon as you stepped outside hot.
Luckily for all of us, we didn’t have to travel much in the heat, as Katie and Jeff kept it really local to West Chester in every aspect. Katie got ready at the Hotel Warner, a few short blocks from our house, and Jeff got ready nearby in their apartment around the corner. Jeff and his groomsmen kept it cool by stopping at nearby Ice Line for some photographs in their hockey gear, before we all met up at the steps of the historic courthouse for Katie & Jeff’s first look. We even had a quick stop at Sabrina Ann Couture where Katie was able to show off the wedding dress she’d purchased there.
We couldn’t brave the intense heat for long, so we headed back indoors to take the rest of the bridal party and family photos in the Chester County Historical Society. While we were all sending thoughts of thanks to the inventor of air conditioning, I was also sending out some gratitude to Carly is Inspired for blooms that didn’t wilt in the heat, and Deana Piacitelli for makeup that could withstand the intense conditions.
Jeff and Katie’s ceremony had already been planned to take place indoors, and a quick rain storm cooled it off just enough that we were able to sneak outside for a few more photos with the happy couple before they enjoyed their dinner, deliciously catered by Limoncello, and danced the night away to the beat of Synergetic Sounds at their reception.
