Engagement session in West Chester, Pa at Stroud Preserve: Kristen & Steve

Genava here again.

Yesterday we travelled to a beautiful public natural lands preserve a few minutes out of the main part of our hometown of West Chester Pennsylvania to meet up with Kristen and Steve. They were referred to us by Kristen’s co-worker Erin, of one of our favorite former clients (and now friends!) Erin and Jake, who also had their engagement session in West Chester.

It was perfect weather yesterday with a touch of the crispness to the air that fall brings, yet still feeling nice and toasty in the sun, with a partly cloudy sky – perfect for photography! The biggest hurdle that we had to overcome is that Kristen and I seem to bring out the giggly side of each other and we had a difficult time getting serious without erupting into fits of laughter. Towards the second half of the session I managed to behave myself enough so that Wil and I could get some more moody and romantic shots, but we still had a ton of fun traipsing through the scenic hills of Stroud preserve.  Big props to Steve for being such a good sport the whole time and for lugging around their outfit changes in a gym bag 🙂

We enjoyed a gorgeous sunset from a scenic overlook and got some last minute snuggle shots in the grass after the sun had sunk below the horizon, before heading back to Steve’s awesome truck for some night time shots. Without further adieu here are some of our favorites:
