Chris had a plan to propose to his girlfriend Katie in Everhart Park, in West Chester, and I was there to photograph the event from afar.  I arrived early just to find a place to hide inconspicuously with a telephoto lens, and I tried to stay hidden so that I wouldn’t spoil the surprise. Right about then, a bunch of friends and family members, who had also been hiding, jumped out!

We had some time to make a few nice couple’s portraits, under the tree lined path there in Everhart Park.

Since there was a nice group of family and friends there, I got some time to make some family portraits of everyone else too.

I am so happy for this couple, and it is such an honor to be there photographing such a big event in their lives, and their future together.  Congratulations Chris and Katie!
