Although we are quite familiar with Valley Forge National Historical Park, this was our first time getting a glimpse inside the stunning Philander Chase Knox estate, just on the edge of the park’s property. We couldn’t have dreamed of a better couple to photograph there. For starters, Meghan’s dress was a unique blend of modern with nods to romantic vintage details. In all my years photographing, I’ve never quite seen any dress like it. The back lacing was incredible, and the tulle in the skirt was a pale and luminescent faintest blue. It fit Meghan like a glove, and accentuated her classic beauty.
Much like the dress, Meghan and Luis just fit perfectly together, as if they’d always belonged that way. Any time they were together they just seemed so content! They were also blissfully open to our ideas, and let us explore the old greenhouse which we were enamored with, not only during their first look, but again at dusk. M & L even arranged for Meghan’s dad to bring his racing Porsche to the venue for a few golden hour photos, and as if all of the above wasn’t enough to excite our lenses, had one of the best choreographed first dances we’ve seen.
The day flew by far too fast, but thankfully we get to be in the business of preserving memories, so we’re able to share some of our favorite moments in images for a long time to come!
